An Amazing Easter

Twas quite the Easter. I guess it is an appropriate day for a miracle. I don't know what got into the boys, but they have never behaved so well. All day long, there was no cryin' or whinin'. No fussin' or fightin'. Nothing, and we skipped nap/quiet time. Truly amazing.

The kids declared this past Easter Sunday, "the best day ever." They haven't been around for very long so maybe it's even true. We started off with an egg and basket hunt in the morning. We filled the eggs with chocolate coins and real coins. Hopefully they won't mix them up. We also gave them some other treats, a Gatorade, watering can (we hope to have a garden at the new house) and they each got a toy vehicle. Candy for breakfast, that does sound like the start of the best day ever.

Then we stopped by Grandma's and Bampa's and dyed some Easter eggs. That was followed by a Venice Club buffet with some of my family. We planned to try and not eat too much since we were heading back to Kristin's parents' house for dinner, but that, of course, did not happen.

After the buffet, the kids got to hunt for more eggs at Grandma's and Bampa's. Uncle Ben and the grandparents hid 65 eggs for the boys to find. Not a bad Easter. Did I mention the boys were well behaved?

Harmonica music on repeat around here now

Bampa's yard looks terrible in this picture, in real life it looked better

Our pictures look terrible because we experimented with the photo option on our video camera. Bad idea.

I've never played hockey, but I'm pretty sure that's not how you hold it.

Much better.

Definitely not the right grip.

Look at that stick speed.

A week later the boys are still talking about how Easter was the "best day ever" and Cole requested an egg hunt for his Birthday in November. A good time was definitely had by all!
