Congrats Jess & Dan

It's official. Jess and Dan are married and the boys have a new uncle. The wedding was definitely a success. It was at the Boerner Botanical Gardens and after only a 5 minute rain delay the weather turned and the ceremony went on without me sweating through my suit. The boys did a great job as ring bearers. Cole did not lose the rings, so that's huge. Henry took a wrong turn as he walked down, but we were able to run over to him and get him back on track. To be fair, he was following the sidewalk instead of going from the sidewalk onto the lawn area. I think that is just good parenting...he knew to stay on the sidewalk. A pretty funny moment overall...if you were there.

The boys stayed up late dancing and running around. Although, all of the kids absolutely refused to dance with their parents. Cole also lost his tooth during the reception.

Left picture is Henry going down the wrong path. Right picture, he's back on track.

Good news:  No farts during the ceremony at this wedding.

Normal Grandma approved this move. I don't think either of us realized that many people could see and were watching from inside the building.

We were able to eat just in time. Henry was about to become Hangry...the very unbearable hungry and angry Henry.

All of my phone pics of the kids dancing are super blurry, but there was a lot of this.

I had to give it a bit of a tug, but we got it out.

Later Cole nicely asked me to not call him a hillbilly anymore. Whatev, Hillbilly.

Cousins

JB helped cut our grass. We're hoping this continues for most Sundays.

We stopped by the neighbor's house on Sunday. I took a pic, so I put it on here. Hi Cate!

Sunday Jess and Dan had everyone over for Qdoba. The kids took a break from playing outside to watch cat videos. Hopefully the boys won't now want a cat. That's not happening.

Fishing Ninjas

Watch out! The boys are in Ninja training. Kristin signed them up for four classes. I imagine it takes a little more training than that to become a Ninja. The boys seemed to enjoy it. I did not enjoy some of the parents I was there with though. I had to "Ma'am" a lady because she wasn't watching her kids and they went into my bag. Twice! I did get to see grownups wearing fake swords on their sides, so that was neat. Hopefully they don't read this and beat me up.

"Ninja focus" pose.

We started on some yard work. I'm sure this will be yet another project we start and don't finish. Yeah us.

One load!

I took a lot of pictures, so I figure I might as well share them. Plus, I think the boys really had a blast. On Sunday, Ryan took us out on his boat to do some fishing. The boys and Ryan caught a lot. (I'm not talking about my performance, so don't ask.). We were out on Silver Lake (Waukesha County - there are about 28 Silver lakes in WI). It was a nice lake and we finished the day with some swimming. Henry went skinny dipping. Hopefully the restaurant we were swimming by didn't mind.

Henry kissing a minnow.

The boys spent the majority of the morning and much of the trip with their heads buried in the live well playing with the minnows.

Cole and Henry got to work the trolling motor.

Cole's bloody bluegill. The hook was pretty deep.

More bass for Hen.

WTF

Not sure why, but I used "WTF" a lot in this post, so we're going with that as the title.

I'll start with cell phone cameras being very regrettable at times. I have way too many pics to go through. Seriously, I have 85 pictures of Henry's graduation from the Elm Grove Safety Village. There is no need for that. I don't even remember taking that many. Wtf.

Anyway, let's begin with Henry and Cole finishing up T-ball. Believe it or not they both earned a participation trophy. Nice work boys.

Cole and Charlie

Henry is still making a priority of finding bugs.

I'm sure everyone is sick of all the kid photos, so I threw one in of me and a recent catch. I've been fishing more and like showing off what I get, so hopefully there will be many more of these.

These are pics of what happens when I put everything in our fridge out on our table and let the boys make themselves a wrap. Very random stuff, but they ate 'em. I will also take this opportunity to mention that mid-dinner poops are super annoying. It happens all the time and we have to take a break from eating to wipe an ass. Wtf.

We've been practicing using spinning reels. The amount of tangles they get fishing is ridiculous and drives me nuts.

Not surprisingly, I decided not to post all 85 pictures of Safety Village. A select few are below, and are probably still way too many.

Note his name tag. He was the only kid that looked like something took two big bites out of it. Wtf.

Cole got to hang with best friend Charlie for a bit, which was nice. They look like teens in this picture.

This is what he decided to do when he discovered I was taking pictures. Goofball.

Lots of kids in his class.

The graduation requirements must have been pretty low to give this guy a certificate in safety.

Charlotte Kroner was in his class.

We went up north to Scott and Emily's cabins in Laona, WI. It was exhausting with the kids (and going to bed at 3am the first night - wtf), but it was a lot of fun. 5 families and 11 kids, 6 and under...yikes! Fishing, swimming, tubing, eating, drinking, log cutting (for Scott and Ryan), etc. A classic up north trip. I only freaked out on the kids a couple time too, so that's not bad.

Tubing pictures with the cell phone did not pan out, but I tried. Cole was very lucky. He was able to go a few times in a row because Lucy, Charlotte and Jackson all insisted on going with him. He's popular like his father...good for him.

Henry caught his first smallmouth bass (first bass of any kind really). I'm surprised it worked out because he was fishing with Kristin at the time. When he got it on the line she just started to scream for help, so we had to run over from another dock. Luckily it stayed on the line. He was so happy. He also gave me a fair amount of grief because all I caught was a crappie. Very disappointing, especially since everyone else hauled in a good size bass or two. Wtf.

Cole and Lucy High snugged up for a show..

Henry joined in as well.

At any given time a room would be littered with children.
