Scouting

We decided to sign Cole up for Tiger Scouts, primarily because it was inexpensive and we were told not much of a commitment. Perfect! Somehow having just two meetings a month seems to be much more than that. I guess it is because there are also activities and projects that have to be done outside of the Den and Pack. Luckily Cole likes it. We recently went on a hike. Henry does a lot of the scout stuff with Cole, which kinda sucks because he will just have to do it all again when he becomes a Tiger Scout next year.

Cole is one of the only Tiger Scouts that actually listens and pays attention. Here he may be listening a little too intensely.

Garbage kids.

They still watch TV like this in the morning. Gonna be weird when they're like 16 and 17 and bigger.

The boys still aren't understanding pranks very well. While Kristin was on an Ikea trip, we hid her wedding and engagement rings. Later I found out that they just went into our room while Kristin was in there and asked her what was missing and pointed to where she keeps her rings.

School pics:

I'm sure everyone in Hen's class is a lot happier now that he wears socks and we Febreezed his shoes.

I hope Henry doesn't always get this crazy at school. He did have a good conference, so I'll assume not.

50th Day of School...dressed like a 1950's guy and doing a 1950's activity.

Cole held a snake...not that he told me when I asked him about his field trip. Jerk.

Family Pictures, Halloween 2016

Our annual family picture session came and went recently. I still don't like it. It's expensive, there are outfit disputes (this year primarily me refusing to put on the girl clothes Kristin wanted me to wear), the kids don't listen and are annoying, etc. The pits, but I'm sure we'll do it again next year. Probably at Elm Grove park for the 4th time.

The pictures below are just from me, not the professional (FYI).

Henry lost his second tooth. I think from here on out we will not mention the loss of teeth.

So earlier, we discovered that Henry accidentally wore two pairs of underwear all day long. We were all surprised about this discovery, including Henry. I did catch him once trying to put on a clean pair of undies before removing the pair currently being worn. I guess he did it again.

The pic below is him later making a joke and showing me that he was wearing THREE pairs of undies. At least he rolls with it, I guess. That night he actually did sleep while wearing three pairs of undies.

Cole had a classroom party. I volunteered...nothing real exciting to report.

The boys attended their first dance. It was at Tonawanda and was a drop off, but Kristin and I decided to stay. The boys were very clingy at first, but after about 15 minutes they found some friends and then it was difficult keeping track of them. They were running all over the gym. I was very impressed that they didn't throw a shit fit when it came time to leave. They must have awesome parents or something.

As I said on Instagram, I hate giving Kristin credit, but she did a great job on the spaceman and cockroach costumes. The boys looked awesome.

Trick or treating was of course fun for all. The kids got to run around and we hung out with friends and drank beers. We went to Kroner's for a pizza dinner prior to hitting the neighborhood. Then met up with the Heerey's.

Kristin sent me this shitty picture. I'm not sure why, but here it is.

Of course, the boys enjoyed going through and organizing their stash of candy the morning after trick or treating.

This was not a wise decision, but the car was already packed up to take stuff to the storage shed and I had to take Henry. We drove slow and nothing actually crashed on him.

Cole started basketball camp. He seems to like it.

We do a lot of office work now. The boys do homework, read or color. Surprisingly Henry did not fall off the chair "sitting" like that.

School Pic:  Cole released his butterfly. I'd tell you more, but Kristin and I know nothing about what happens at school. I literally force them to tell me at least one thing that happened at school every day and both Cole and Henry struggle to come up with a single thing. Then we see on the classroom blog, shit like this. Why wouldn't you tell us you released a butterfly? Wtf.

The End.
