River Rats

Yet another River Rats in the books. Cole's last. Maybe Henry's too since he crosses over to boy scouts (if he wants) in February 2022. Wow, no more scout stuff for me...oh wait, Gus and Lou will then join. I'm seriously not sure I can handle doing scouts all over again, but I guess I'll have to. We all know Kristin isn't going camping.

River Rats is always the same; although, upon arrival I found that an air mattress was moldy. I ended up leaving the boys and going to a far off Walmart for a new one. I'm too old to be sleeping on the ground.

We had so much fun shooting, we decided to have our own little shooting range practice back at home with Jane and Caroline.

May

May appears to have been a pretty slow month. Nothing to really report on The Fuchs Report. That won't stop me from unloading pictures though.

I try and make kids that come over try disgusting things. This was a variety of flavored crickets and grass soda. Unfortunately, the crickets really aren't that bad and the grass soda was something like sour apple and they really enjoyed it.

Don't worry, an upcoming post should talk about better results with ranch flavored soda and sardines.

Focus on the boots for who is who if you need help

I heard that the boys never had Twinkies, so I figured we'd fix that with a Hostess movie night.

Cole made duct tape shoes.

Oh man. Gus and Lou found this tiny little patch of mud at the soccer park and played it in for the entire game. It started slow and didn't seem too bad, but next thing I knew they were covered in mud. They had a blast, but clean up sucked. (And yes, obviously Kristin wasn't there to stop them).

Classic Louie face

That looks like a Gussie face

Cole had to dress up like a pilgrim for school. He was not happy. I heard he changed very soon after arrival to school.

Henry won our first game of Trivial Pursuit. Now he never wants to play, so I guess he will be Champion forever.
