"I'm Thankful" and Fort Building

Thanksgiving is here and the boys had to list things they are thankful for at school. Besides being thankful for my fort building skills and sandwich making abilities (as you will see below), they also listed some interesting items. Their "thankful leaves" are pictured below. Since we are on the topic, I am thankful for the Green Bay Packers, beer, food...oh yeah, and Kristin and the boys (I have to say nice things on the blog now, so Grandma DJ doesn't get mad at me).

I am thankful for boys that use the toilet and don't require me to change their diapers. We haven't really started the potty training, but I think it will be time soon. Let the fun begin.

Thankful leaves at school. Apparently Cole really likes wind and the sun, who knew? I also like how Henry included himself in his list...and cheese which he spit out at lunch the other day. Liar.

Cole's friend Owen S.  listed Cole first on his thankful list. We are very thankful (and proud) Cole is such a good friend.

The kids favorite game is too get out every toy in the house, pile it together and create forts. It is horrible, but it is also the only thing they can seem to play together without fighting. I am not thankful for this mess every night. The boys not fighting - very thankful.

Weirdo. And reminds me that I'm thankful that "planking" is no longer a thing.

Henry is thankful for applesauce. Don't worry, he didn't finish the jar.

Trying to teach organized fort building...a personal favorite of mine.

Not organized on the inside

Surprise surprise...Henry broke the roof. Cole did not thank him.

I'm pretty sure Henry is rolling a boogie in this pic. We are all thankful for the magical disappearing booger trick.

I made the boys sandwiches for lunch and Cole told me that I make better sandwiches than Mom and Hen said that my peanut butter sandwich is better than at Grandma's house...Daddy rules.

Bayshore Fountain Fun and Pumpkin Farm

Cole's friend's Mom is a much better photographer than we are. She recently sent us some pictures she took of the boys during a play date this summer and also some from their school pumpkin farm field trip.

Cole and Isaac were pretty pumped to see each other over the summer and held hands during most of their time together. Not my happiest discovery when we received these pictures.

Halloween 2013

Halloween celebrations started for the boys on Wednesday with a costume party at school. Easily the highlight of Halloween this year is that Kristin was the ONLY parent that dressed up to help with the school party. Holy shit! I feel bad, but that is hilarious. Kristin went as a cowgirl (with a hat), Cole a shark (again) and Henry Lightning McQueen. Cars isn't exactly the newest fad, but it was a cheap costume he was willing to wear (which my Dad paid for to get out of having to help make a rocket ship costume). Maybe if I ask him to build me a car he'll buy me a new one instead.

On Halloween night, we went to Gammie and Bampa's house for a Halloween party. Grammie Debbie made awesome snacks and food and we were joined by the Kroners and Schilzs. Sadly, about 10 minutes into trick or treat it started to rain, we toughed it out for a bit but it got bad enough that we stepped it up to a jog on the way home. It was still a success though as we headed home with a giant bag of candy.

One quick pic of all the kids before we headed out
Note Henry's light-up Devil scepter - that was not an accident
Finally inside from the rainy trick or treating.

A glimpse of Henry at school in the future...nothing in his desk but food. I just hope future Henry has his shirt on.
Not a Halloween picture, but the boys claimed they were dressed up as super heroes
