Let's Ride On The HOP

It's been awhile since we spent some time downtown and we have not tried out the HOP yet, so we decided to take a night to ride it and grab some dinner and drinks with the big boys.

I feel like we actually ended up doing a lot in a small amount of time. We:

  • We successfully navigated the HOP
  • Ate at the Shake Shack. We all gave it pretty high ratings.
  • Checked out the rooftop view at the Kimpton Journeyman (Cole and I also pooped there).
  • Walked around the Third Ward and then went back to the Shake Shack for a chocolate concrete shake
  • Took a stroll along the river
  • Then back on the HOP to the car.

We also recently had a party with school families. It was a lot of fun, but I apparently only took pictures of the twins getting all sweaty and jamming to tunes while we were setting up.

And random pictures.

No legs Henry.

We had to get rid of more furniture from our family room thanks to these assholes.

And one more trip to RJ's (and probably not the last)

Eagle River, 7/27 to 8/2

The family took another trip up north. It was an awesome trip, even though fishing was not great. I also heard some grumblings about the establishment and choosing to rent cabins on an island, but whatever.

As we thought, the twins were a bit of a pain, but we brought Caroline, which made it pretty manageable. She actually saved the trip for us. I don't think we would made more than a couple nights without her. I mean even with her, Gus still managed to fall out a window. He was amazingly not hurt falling right between the concrete foundation of the cabin and a railroad tie (and only about a half story fall). And the next day we caught Louie eating a handful of deer poop.

The twins sleeping got better as the trip went on, but we first tried to use these mesh net things for the pack 'n plays to keep them from crawling out. This was not acceptable to the boys. Lots of screaming with their little faces pushed up against the cover.

It was a lot of fun to just hang out and swim. We also went to Bond Falls, Michigan and a trout hatchery. We grilled the trout ourselves and it turned out great. Cole and Henry both ate a trout eyeball, which was gross.

The pictures are in total random order, except for the last, which is obviously a result of the trip. I wanted to label the twin pictures more, but I can't always tell who is who. Sorry guys.
