Christmas

I think Christmas was a success. We were pretty confident this year, seeing that Santa put a couple bikes under the trees. To our surprise though, the initial big hits were some color matching (kind of Tetris like) game that Cole got and a Frogger game that Henry got. Later on I think their watches became the favorite gift of the year. Hopefully the bikes get appreciated come the warmer weather.

My phone is full of trying to get a pic of all the boys. Not a one turned out. Thanks a lot Gus and Louie.

Twins got some stuff too. Mostly food, snacks and diapers.

I'll quick throw in a few New Years Eve pictures. We had the Kroner's over for some pizza, games, and an early countdown.

On the eve before NYE we got to treat ourselves to the most crazy decorated cupcakes I've ever seen. Tasted pretty good too.

Christmas Eve

We went to the Great's for Christmas Eve. Lots of holiday fun. Presents, good beer, good food, watching Christmas Vacation. Awesome.

We thought Brady looked like we had triplets, but one was a giant.

The night of Christmas Eve, we got home and had a surprise for the boys (really just a good way to get credit for a family vacation). We (and by "we" I mean Debbie) wrapped up individual letters that spelled out Florida. The boys had to go around the house and find all them all. Once they started opening the boxes and finding the letters it didn't take them too long to figure things out. We leave January 30th. Can't wait.

The setup...

Building Spree

Cole had a scout building project and Henry got a building kit for Christmas that he's been dying to get into, so we recently had a day of building and a day of painting. So great to have something for these two to do while home all day. And always amazing when they do this stuff and don't have any fights.

They did such a good job building that they are also now taking over putting together Ikea furniture. I am very happy to pass on that job.

Time to paint.

Below are the ends of the tables where the boys were working. Looks like someone was a little messier.

Kids are suck at taking pictures. It's always some extreme, either no smile or some kind of funny face.

Christmas brunch and a holiday bus

We did not take many pictures, but we had a pretty crazy day with the annual meet Santa brunch at the Hansen's and then going on a bus to see Christmas lights. Last year we took a limo around town with the Heerey's, but this year we stepped it up and got a bus so we could invite more people. We told the boys we got a bus to see lights and Cole immediately said, "What, no limo?" Spoiled little shit. The bus was fun though and I'd be on board for doing it again next year.

I have like 20 pictures like this. The twins not a fan of Santa.

Boppers, Rock Climbing, Chess, and Random Pics

Lots of topics here, and really it's just a lot of pictures, but I will say I love these bopper things. The boys go nuts when they throw these on. It's pretty awesome to see them go at it. Surprisingly little injuries thus far.

The boys have now been rock climbing a handful of times and they are getting much better. They can now reach the top on most of the shorter walls and Cole made it pretty high up on on a tall wall.

Cole got a chess medal. I think participation because, if I recall correctly, he was closer to last place than first place in the end of class tournament. He didn't want to take a picture, so the first pic is him being an asshole. I made a big deal about it, we fought, I won and he had to smile.

Henry remains to be pretty obsessed with Mackinac. He made a very nice report about it at school.

Another obsession is BeyBlades. The boys are playing with these constantly. All of a sudden we will hear from the basement, "Let it rip!" and we know a Bey battle has begun.

Time for a haircut

I didn't want to post a pic of myself (due to my age and face), but I am the one usually taking pictures, so there are few pictures of me. I guess I should be in the blog book here and there.
