Celebrations

We have had a couple reasons to celebrate lately. First Cole graduated from Kindergarten. I feel like that is a given, but we celebrated anyways.

Busted! Stop picking your nose kid.

Look at Mr. Pouty Pants in the background.

This reminds me of a Zoolander look. I think Blue Steel. Maybe Magnum.

Cole's look of cautious amusement when Kristin started sobbing while taking his pic with his teacher

Henry turned the big 05 last Friday. We had a morning celebration on Friday because I was gone that weekend (enjoying Ben's bachelor party!). We then had a birthday party with his friends on Sunday at Salto. He got a ton of presents. His favorite being a dead baby shark in a jar (nice work Normal Grandpa and Grandma). The jar also looks like the top could easily be unscrewed, so we may have to move if that pops open. It would seem awfully gross to have to pick up a dead baby shark off of the carpet.

It was also Father's Day recently. We ended up having a BYOB (Build Your Own Burger) Day. Awhile ago, the boys made a pretty crazy list of ingredients to put on their burgers. Scrambled eggs, apple slices, sprouts...all kinds of things. Luckily by grilling time they scaled it back some. Cole stuffed his patty with pickles. Henry had me grill some chicken as well, so he could have a beef patty and chicken. And they both went with hot dog buns.

Henry had a blue Gatorade. It took a lot of scrubbing in the shower to get rid of that blue lip.

Recent Happenings

I don't think we take pictures like we used to, which doesn't mean we still don't have a lot of pics. We just don't have an unbelievable amount of pictures. I guess, for memory sake, we will continue to post some pics and highlight the most recent happenings. Exciting or not.

I probably could have just not taken a pic of this situation...would have been better for all I think.

This kid is always a situation.

I started a basement project I will likely never finish.

This may be how it looks for a year or two. (I did actually clean up at least).

Kristin still hates all my fun projects...another one that took way too much time.

Memorial Day 2106! Parades are the worst. Hot, boring and shitty candy. Yeah!

We had our first fishing trip. We just went to the Elm Grove pond and caught some sun fish and bluegills. I saw a nice bass, but the boys are still a bit needy, so I only got a couple of my own casts off. They are getting pretty good at putting on their own worms though.

We went to the zoo. I think this is the only pic we took. Other than letting Cole use my phone to take about 15 pictures of a peacock walking around. That was a waste of memory. Although I can't believe how many adults sit there and take pictures of animals through the glass. Seems strange to me.

We tried to scare Kristin, like Henry was really going for a ride.

We had a fun sickness going around. The rug did not make it. It's Cole's puke and Henry slept through the entire disaster.

Soccer is over.

Ryan Frank recently found this gem. I'm next to my Dad if you can find us.

The pics below are from Cole's Field Day. Sounds like a fun school-wide event but as with most things, he didn't tell us much about it.
