Monsters

Gus and Lou are on the loose. They're wild, quick, mischievous and inconsiderate little monsters. They make huge messes, throw food and now they are tearing down gates and trying to escape from the house. It's a shit show over here and they're to blame.

Gus

Bad door knob choice. They can get this open real quick.

It's going to be hard to keep up when they start running in different directions.

Gus you little shit. I probably caught you just in time.

Memories

I downloaded these pics. They're not even good and did not find a home in any other posts, so we'll just post them here. This blog is getting super lazy, but feel obligated to get the twins some memories.

Grabbed a jacket and gloves from the table.

Henry climbed all the way through the storm sewer to get a soccer ball. Luckily no run-ins with any animals.

Chess, Scouts, Haircuts and Hurt Eyes

Obviously a bit of a random post judging from the title. It's exciting stuff for us though. The biggest news is the babies getting their first haircuts. I'm used to them now, but it took a day or two. They look so different and old.

Cole participated in his first chess tournament. He won 3 of 5 games, which is worthy of a participation medal (the same as going 0 for 5). He had fun and he was pretty happy with the 3 wins. There were a lot of kids and some had some pretty serious experience. Like one kid had a notebook to track all the moves.

Another River Rats camping trip. It's always the same. I will say that Cole crushed the climbing wall and Henry dominated the Ninja Warrior line thing. He tucked in that shirt and started to go across no feet and skipping holds...all kinds of crazy shit.

Henry got his in the eye with a baseball. I always tell them, "Catch with your hands, not your face." Maybe now he'll listen.

I got artsy!

Holidays

Easter:
These kids really stink at finding their Easter baskets. Another year we have to give them hints. And after we give them a hint, we tell them what room it is. Then we tell them not to leave and give up. Open up a frickin' cabinet. Move stuff around. It's not that hard.

Anyway. Good Easter. Our house with baskets and eggs all over the place. The Frank's with an incredible amount of eggs hidden around the yard. Stear's...more eggs to find in the yard (a squirrel stole four of Cole's eggs), and then to the Fuchs's for some more baskets. It's going to take me a few months to eat all of their candy this year, but I'll get it done.

Well behaved...

Getting goofy...

And soon someone will get hurt.

I don't know why we try.

Arbor Day:
Big Arbor Day this year. Cole and I helped plant a tree at his school.

That shovel barely broke the ground...skinny little punk.

Mother's Day:
Well the boys did it up again for Kristin this Mother's Day. A fancy night out at the Machine Shed. Look at how much fun she is having in the picture below. Good times. And if that wasn't enough, the necklace that Kristin picked out herself arrived about a week later.
