Best Day Ever! Again! And Again!

Cole is notorious for calling out "This is the best day ever!" He uses it a lot. It is starting to have as much meaning as a Stear saying "I love you." (They say that a lot too). Kristin and I took some days off work and we tried to do some fun stuff, so we recently had a lot of best days ever.

Day 1
We started off with a trip to the zoo. We were all very impressed and surprised with Great Grandma's knowledge of the zoo. She knew exactly where everything was and had a route to get there. I have a feeling she has been venturing off to the zoo solo in secret...actually we found out she has taken trips with her "stitch and bitch" partner Dianne. Hmm, hope nothing more is going on there.

Henry wanted this turtle pretty bad.

The spitting dinosaurs were a favorite.

Day 2
Green Bay, WI here we come! It's not the most exciting road trip, but probably all the boys (and us) can handle at this point. Cole was the first to ask if we were in Green Bay yet. This occurred about half way through Wauwatosa. We went straight to the Bay Beach Amusement Park. 25 to 50 cents per ride. Hard to beat that. It was fun. The lines were pretty long though, so it was hard to even take advantage of the cheap rides.

Matching outfits = easy to spot in a crowd

Henry was in a mood. On this ride he had a super grumpy face and every time he passed us he would say, "I hate this."

I thought this was an awkward ride, just starring straight at a stranger.

As we suspected, the pool at the hotel was the biggest hit. Cole and Henry (and I'm sure every other kid in the world) could swim all day, every day. Cole would just jump in the pool, get out and jump in again. He did that over and over. They also liked going in the hot tub. Henry made like a Grandpa and chatted with all the different people in the pool. His favorite thing was to ask them their name and then let them know if we knew anyone with a name similar. For example; "Oh your name is Ella? Our dog is named Bella." "Your name is Chloe? I have a friend named Zoey."

Day 3
We started the next day with more pool fun. For Kristin and I this is a super boring activity, but it would seem cruel and unusual to not allow the boys to swim since they have so much fun in the pool.

After the pool, we drove over to Lambeau. We got a tour of the stadium, which got us access to a luxury suite and got us down to field level, although they wouldn't let us touch the grass. It was all pretty awesome. Final we got lunch at Titletown Brewery and drove home.

Sir Grumps-A-Lot is back.

Day 4
I went to work. Booooooooh! Boys spent the day at the pool and then had swim lessons.

Day 5
I took another day off and the boys and I went exploring (around Elm Grove Village Park). Then we ran some errands. I had to go to some Packer shops because I decided not to get a Packers jacket at the Pro Shop while in Green Bay. Then regretted that decision and didn't want to drive back to Green Bay or pay $10 in shipping.

We also went to State Fair. I ate a bacon bottom pork pizza and had to instantly go home to diarrhea. Classic WI State Fair. It was also about 95 degrees so we spent all our money on bottles of water and Henry went to the bathroom and said his undies were too sticky to pull up.

This picture won't rotate. Blogger is super frustrating.

Little Brother Day

We celebrated Henry last weekend for Little Brother Day. We didn't plan much, but we tried to let him come up with some things to do. In the morning we the boys got donuts. Henry later chose Culver's for lunch. We had a birthday party to go to for Jackson Hansen in the afternoon, so Little Brother Day got cut short, but he had a lot of fun at the party.

Sprinkler at the party and no dry clothes meant Hen rocked some tighties for a bit
On Sunday, Great Grandpa brought over a scooter for the boys. I was pretty excited for this. We have some work to do on the training wheels yet, but soon the boys will be cruising around the neighborhood. Well, I think Kristin is okay with the yard at least. The scooter is awesome and pretty fast. The weight limit is 170 lbs, so after a few hundred jogs, I should be able to ride it.

Henry's dream. A big bowl of watermelon just for him.
Later on Sunday Henry requested we go back to our old neighborhood so we could get ice cream at his "favorite ice cream shop," which is Whole Foods. We ate pizza at Ian's and then shopped and got ice cream and drove past our old house.

And finally, a random pool picture. The kids have been swimming a ton lately. The girl teacher catching Henry clearly likes him the best. He also seems to be by far the youngest kid (shortest?) in the class.
