Famous Now

The Whitefish Bay-Shorewood Nursery School is revamping their website and they decided to use some pictures of Cole and Henry (and every other kid in their classes). So, maybe famous is a stretch, but it's a start. Personally, I think they should have been featured much more, replacing some of their less fortunate looking peers (just kidding), but I guess they had to be fair to the rest of the kids. Below are the pics featuring C and H.

You can only see Hen's back, but it counts.

School side note:  Below is Cole's latest art project. According to him, Love is..."my big dump truck that goes super fast." I see Ben went with the classic "mommy and daddy." A fast dump truck does sound pretty cool. I don't even know what "super fast dump truck" he is talking about.

I hope I never got this close to Jeremy while sharing a tub

Valentine's Day

Happy belated Valentine's Day (the worst holiday ever). Kristin added to V-day being the worst by stressing over what to do for the boys'school Valentines. I thought you just bought a bag of cards from the store, taped on a piece of candy and called it a day, but apparently that is not good enough. She ended up printing pictures of the boys, gluing them on paper, and taping a sucker to them (it looks like the boys are holding the sucker). They look nice and I wasn't trying to make fun, but I made the mistake of asking if it was normal to have your own photo on a Valentine's Day card...seemed a little strange. Kristin was not happy that I "made fun of" her creation. I'm not sure why suddenly my opinion matters.

I do feel bad though. I told Kristin I would take care of dinner Friday and was going to really step up the romance. Sadly, I was not able to bring home the heart shaped pizza from Rocky Rococo's as planned. I called three different stores and they couldn't take any more orders. I had no idea the heart shaped pizzas were so popular.

Lots of practice signing his Valentines, finally became legible near the end of the stack

On Sunday we went to Pheasant Fest to visit Bampa, who was working the convention. The boys had a lot of fun running around, climbing on the displays and petting puppies. There was an Animae convention on a different floor in the same building and we enjoyed checking out their costumes  There were some pretty crazy outfits and kinda funny to see that crowd mixed with the camo-wearing Pheasant Fest crowd.

Cole is working on a "mail" unit at school and we had to write letters to him that could then be delivered and opened. I only bring this up because he said that he liked my letter better than Kristin's. Admittedly, he liked mine better because I included a picture for him to color, which was actually Kristin's idea...but I didn't tell him that, just enjoyed the praise.

Henry started out the school V day party with a little timeout for using that big blue rug as his dance floor and not listening. He really has some moves and feels the beat

Timber Ridge Lodge

This past weekend we went to Timber Ridge Lodge & Waterpark in Lake Geneva. The kids obviously enjoyed the indoor water park, but there were a lot of people and a lot of kids, which equals a lot of urine and germs in the pool. There was no doubt a good amount of chlorine in the pools since your skin immediately began to itch upon entering the water, but it still is pretty gross. The worst part, which we did not partake in, was the hot tub. Funny to see a bunch of strangers crammed into a giant steamy hot tub together. Yuck.

But, the important thing is the kids had fun. We went with the Schilzs and Cole and Henry loved having a sleepover with Zoey. They had fun going down the slides and even liked the lazy river. Surprisingly they boys even slept well. I feel pretty bad we only took a handful of pictures.

This is what we bring for a one night stay - one night!

So excited heading down to the water park they could not stand still

Cole and Henry got the comfy bed in a private room and Kristin and I roughed it on the pull-out couch

Freezing cold
Now the worst part of the weekend, and why I ranted about the grossness of water parks. Kristin and I woke up around midnight Saturday feeling horrible. We both barfed multiple times (thank goodness we were home). I'll spare you additional details. Thanks to the Grandparents, we were able to get rid of the dog and kids and spent all of Sunday in bed feeling like death. It was awful; naturally we blame Timber Ridge and their pee water.
