Thanksgiving, Birthdays, Killin Birds, Photos, Trains and more

This T-day break was crazy busy. Not only was there Thanksgiving to celebrate, but we had two birthdays, family photos and some fun outings.

On Thursday we, of course, had Thanksgiving dinner. We went to the Stear's house for dinner. My parents once again ditched the family for Florida. Henry loved Thanksgiving dinner and ate tons of turkey and cranberries, Cole not so much. He ended up eating a waffle for dinner.

Cole became best buds with Kristin's cousin, Brian.

The pie was a hit though

Normal Grandma got the boys the Elf on the Shelf. His name is Frosty. The entire concept seems a little wrong, but if it blackmails the boys into behaving better, I don't really care.

Kristin even took it up a notch and wrote Cole a fake note from Frosty telling him to be brave at the doctor.

Friday was Kristin's 34th birthday. Yikes! To celebrate, I ditched her and went pheasant hunting with Gregg and the McClure's. First time shooting a shotgun for me and it was awesome. Not to mention, I also look pretty good in orange and am much more prepared for the zombie apocalypse (we're currently marathon watching The Walking Dead).

Saturday was Cole's birthday, so we ditched him and went out to dinner at Wolf Peach with our friends. Before ditching Cole, we did celebrate with balloons and presents in the morning. We also had family photos. The boys did surprisingly well. Kristin finally had a good idea, and pulled out the M&M's to get the boys to hold still and smile. Click here for a sneak peak

We felt kinda bad...really not many presents for Cole to open. We just didn't end up getting him much. Oh well. He seemed happy.

Pancake breakfast for the birthday boy, Kristin burned Cole's #4 pancake but he still declared it "the best birthday ever!"

Not the prettiest cake, but pretty tasty.
Don't you eat your birthday cake naked?

Dinner at Wolf Peach

Cole and Henry at the birthday sleepover

Sunday we went to the Milwaukee Lionel Railroad Club to look at their train set up (a good idea from Bampa). They have quite the train table and Cole and Henry even got to run some trains.
