Florida

It's been almost a month, so I guess it's time to post the Florida vacation blog. To be brief, it was a great trip; although, it was not easy getting down there. Due to the cold weather (minus 27 the day we left), we had three cancelled flights before finally booking one that was actually taking off from Milwaukee.

Highlights of the trip - there was, of course, a lot of swimming. Like most kids, Cole and Henry could spend all day in the pool. We took a fishing trip (my favorite part), spent a day at Fort Myers Beach, went to the Cape Coral Beach, watched the stupid Patriots win another Super Bowl, visited with aunts and uncles, and obviously ate and drank a lot.

So that was the good. I can't help but mention how awful it is traveling with two 15 month old babies. They wouldn't sit still and were a total pain in the ass - running around the airport, being super squirmy on the plane, and shitting, crying, and whining constantly. Actually, most people we sat by complimented all of the kids behavior, including the babies. I still thought it sucked, but admittedly they could have been worse.

Oh yeah, another bad - I donated my sunglasses to the Gulf of Mexico. Shit.

So, without any further ado, one of the worst things anyone can do...share family vacation pictures. And a lot of them!

Gots to get the big chair pic.

Who sleeps with their legs up. I can't believe I fit in this bed with these guys.

Just warming up on dry land. They didn't want to rush their first pool experience.

We gave a very brief attempt at fishing in the canal. We didn't get anything.

Charter fishing was awesome.

Henry caught so many Ladyfish he is now known as the Ladyfish Killer. Pretty cool nickname.

Not bad.

Much better. Cole could have taken this one home for dinner, but opted to release.

Cole caught a puffer fish, so that was cool.

Getting bigger.

Bigger

Fully puffed.

Pretty funny how he slowly deflated himself before going under and swimming off.

I think he just realized how awful sand is. Gets everywhere.

Henry found awesome stuff on the beach. A live starfish.

A crab (and I'm not talking about Kristin).

And a leg.

Cole like digging holes...probably not worth mentioning, but I uploaded this pic.

Cole did a pretty impressive job navigating the airport

Got home super late. Kids probably got to bed around 1:00 a.m. I was impressed they got up for school.
