Dorothy's Day Out

We took Great Grandma Dorothy to Miller Park on Sunday, but before we get to that there are some other photos to share from the weekend. On Saturday, Cole helped me deconstruct a pallet and we went to Tosa Fest. Cole hit his thumb/fingers a few times when we took apart the pallet, but never cried and we had no significant injuries.

There is, however, an injury to report from Tosa Fest. I imagine you heard about the fight that broke out. Henry was right in the middle of it. You should see the other guy.

Smiles after the injury. Cole was really shook up and asked to be strapped into his stroller so we didn't drop him on the sidewalk too.

Just kdding. Henry wasn't fighting. Cousin Ellie actually tackled Great Grandma and Henry got a face full of pavement when Grandma fell on him. It's a pretty good scrape. The poor guy just wanted to go home after that. Tosa Fest was fun up to that point though.

Now looking at it, this seems like a really bad idea.

Surprisingly Kristin didn't say anything to me when she got home and saw I had Cole working with real tools.

Tosa Fest 2014!!!

I'm happy to say that on my third throw I dropped the girl in the dunk tank. BF Dan didn't have such good luck.

It looked a lot better in the morning.

On Sunday, as a belated birthday outing for Dorothy, the Fuchs family ventured out to Miller Park to watch the Brewer lose another one to the Cardinals. Kristin claims this was her idea, but I doubt it. After some consideration about parking and how to get Dorothy easily to the front gate, Grandpa decided to go with a limo. I now feel like I should always take a limo. Very convenient. I think the boys thought it was pretty cool. Cole told everyone he "hadn't been in a limo in a long time." As if he always travels via limousine.  Even though the Brewers lost, and it was super hot in the sun, I think Dorothy enjoyed it.

The only place we went wrong was telling the boys that if they wanted they could take out $5.00 from their piggy banks to buy something at the gift shop. We figured Henry could get some stickers (he loves stickers) and Cole would find a Brewers pencil or something. Henry was okay with stickers, but of course, Cole wanted a stuffed animal. Oh yeah, did I mention the obvious, gift shop prices are unbelievable. Anyway, I was at a Brewers game, eating and drinking, so I was in a good mood and caved to Cole spending $15.00 on a Super Rhino Brewers stuffed animal. Henry got his stickers, but we didn't think that was fair, so he also got to pick out a stuffed animal (he went with the racing Brat). Cole also got a $9.00 pair of socks so he could play in the kids area. Add those expenses to Henry's constant need for snacks and we dropped a fair amount at Miller Park.

Dorothy and the limo driver, Mario. Mario is the Stear and Fuchs family's favorite limo driver. I think he and Bampa Gregg are besties.
Birthday Gal
