On Sunday, Steve came in from Chicago and we took the kids to the Brewers game. The boys have gone to several games, but this was their first tailgating experience. It went very well and the kids had a lot of fun running around the parking lot. Before leaving, Kristin put temporary tattoos on the boys with our phone numbers on them. I have not seen these used when Kristin is taking the boys somewhere, so I was a bit offended. They are actually a really good idea though. We'll have to remember to give these to the boys when they go off to college.
Kristin thought we were biting off more than we could chew with the tailgating, but as usual she was wrong. It was actually nice. Not once did Steve over react to a situation, scream, panic and almost give me a heart attack.
Instead of losing a kid, we actually almost came home with an extra. Nathan, a 3-year old boy (who was a good deal bigger than Henry) ended up climbing up from the seats in front of us to hang out. He really became part of the group, even joining in trying to choke me like Cole and Henry do. I all of a sudden noticed there were some bigger arms around my neck and, sure enough, it was Nathan. We were in the bleachers and luckily it wasn't crowded. The kids were climbing all over the place. I'm sure everyone hated us. I think I managed to see about three plays of the game.
There was a lot of this going on. |
After putting the boys to bed last night Henry came out of his room, which is not unusual as he often "can't sleep." I was about to be mad at him for getting out of bed, but he had me cracking up because I just was not expecting to see him with his head lamp on and a book. Idk, probably had to be there.
Sounds like a great weekend! Where are the tattoo's from?
