Cole Crossover

Also in February, Cole had his crossover ceremony where he graduated from cub scouts and crossed over into boy scouts. 

Unfortunately, Cole went to a couple meetings and thought they were boring so he quit. We tried to do a little convincing because I did hear the meetings aren't much fun, but boy scouts gets to be a lot of fun for the camping trips and other events that the scouts do on their own. 

Cole didn't budge though and decided to end his scouting career. He said he wanted to focus on sports. I guess I can respect that decision. He certainly lasted longer than I did in scouts.   

February 2021

February was pretty typical. We skied. We celebrated Valentine's Day. I remember it being cold, so there was little ice skating in the yard.  

I'm continuing to label some pictures below as Gus or Lou. Not sure if that is necessary. More often than not, I think the "blue" Lou and "green" Gus themes works well. Usually the picture has a blue or green clue to tip you off on who is who. They also seem to have a color complex now, so they don't really where each others colors. Gus will throw a fit if you try to put him in something blue and Lou is the same way about green. Lou has even introduced himself as "Blue Lou."

(Literally wrote this and then got super confused labeling a couple of the pictures below. I guess our system doesn't work. Shit.)

I say Lou is naked because those are his slippers, but if he was not in this pic, I would have said that was Lou laying down in those pjs. 

Okay, now I'm super confused. These pics must be from different days. That is Lou in those blue pajamas. Definitely Gus in the red in this pic. But I still think I'm right in the pictures above, unless Gus has Lou's slippers on. Fuck. Idk. 

VALENTINE'S DAY

This is Gus on top of Lou. Often it's the other way around. 

More kitchen work. We made those pretzel things with a melted Rollo or some other kind of mini candy bar and then topped with different kinds of nuts. 

This is Gus getting naked. Positive. 

These are Gus's favorite pajamas. He has been trying to wear them all summer, no matter how hot it is out. 

I hope they put a band together someday

Our basement gets water. It was actually raining really hard just before I started this blog post. Reminds me that I will likely be coming home to a wet basement. Fun. I'm so glad we spent money fixing it up and putting in carpet.
